New Platform Launch Date Set

Are you tired of the current site crashing on race day and not being able to see the live fantasy leaderboard during the race? So are we.
It's been about a month and a half since the last update. We have been hard at work getting the new site ready for next year. Almost every bit of free time I have has been going into building out this new platform.
I am excited to share that we have a launch date set. I also have some exciting previews of the progress made on the new platform since the last update.
New platform launch date: December 1st
After the 2025 NASCAR season comes to an end on November 2nd, we will quickly be getting ready to launch the new platform. On December 1st, 2025, the current site at speedwaycollective.com will switch over to the new fantasy platform for the upcoming 2026 season.
The new platform has been built entirely from the ground up. This news section is already being served from this new platform! We have been testing the new platform for the past month or so, and I feel great about how the live updates have been performing on race day. It's currently in a working state; now we just need to dial in the setup.
While the launch date is December 1st, it is very likely I will open the new platform to the public before the 2025 season ends. This will allow users to signup, and start playing separately from the current site.
Some of the primary features I am committed to improving with the new platform include:
- Live fantasy race leaderboard updating in real time
- Live driver race results updating in real time
- Immediate fantasy results after the race has finished
- Platform working throughout the race without the site crashing
- Faster, more frequent updates and sharing with you what updates we have made
- Easier login and league invite flow
- More driver stats, and filtering stats by track type
- Seasonal fantasy standings, trophies, badges, I can keep going
Needless to say, I am fucking excited to share it with you. The new platform is moving to more reliable hosting and infrastructure. It will cost us more to maintain, but with the expectation that the site can handle the amount of visitors on race day.
None of it would be possible with your support, and sticking with us even through the current state of the site this season. We are all frustrated with the way it performs on race day. The reset password flow is cumbersome and I often don't get back to you in time before the lineups lock. The current site is in rough shape, and I can't wait to finally lay it to rest after this season.
New features
Since the last update in July, we have built out a number of features on the new platform.
Custom scoring per league
I mentioned this in the last update, but didn't have it developed yet. Custom scoring is now up and running. I have a test league where I've been testing custom scoring in a test league and feel confident about how it functions.
Within the new League Settings page, league admins will have the option to enable custom scoring. Once enabled, admins may adjust all available:
- Bonus points
- Race points by position
- Qualifying points by position
- Stage points by position
This feature is included as part of the League Admin Pro package.
League admins can customize scoring for the leagueGlobal leaderboard across all leagues
Similar to the current site, there will be a global leaderboard which has the fantasy standings for all competitors. This leaderboard will include all fantasy teams across all leagues, to see how you stack up against members from other leagues. The leaderboard includes the overall standings, along with the individual race results.
Driver stats
The new platform allows us to calculate and keep track of a number of stats much easier. This means we might go a little wild on adding driver stats.
One cool feature i'm excited about is being able to filter driver stats by track type. It's no secret Shane Van Gisbergen has been on a tear at road courses. Filtering by track type, we can see how dominant SVG has been during the five road course races so far this season. He has been averaging nearly 20 more fantasy points at road courses than any other driver.
Driver stats can be sorted by the following track types:
- Short track
- Intermediate
- Superspeedway
- Road Course
- Dirt (If they ever go back)
- And any other track type if they race at a new type in the future
